I am a married Christian father of 2, living in Maple Ridge, BC for the outdoor aspects the area brings to our lives. I enjoy hobbies such as swimming, snowboarding, paddle boarding, gardening, and hiking with my dog. My wife is a registered nurse of 28 years. We enjoy camping, traveling, and evenings out with family and friends. Our children are in College and University. They enjoy many of the same activities as us, making spending time with them easy.
Growing up on the Island in Victoria, I created many long lasting friendships while going to high school and later college and trade school. I found a love for building skateboard ramps, dirt bike jumps and tree forts as a child. Home building was an inevitable future that became a career. Having now been in the business for over 30 years I am proud to be producing quality built homes and renovations. I have worked in many areas of construction such as Residential, Commercial, Retail, MultiFamily, High Rise and Agricultural. My passion was in business and owning a construction company of my own. I started my own business in 2000 and left my job as a Construction Superintendent building warehouses and car dealerships to fulfill my dreams in business. For the first 8 years I worked full time and ran my business on the side. I quickly found myself overly busy doing two jobs. In 2008 I shifted to full time doing renovations and garage builds. By 2012 I incorporated as Payne Pacific Contracting inc.
